Aruba Is The Perfect Summer Get-Away

This Caribbean island’s interior features a desert landscape, but don’t be deceived, Aruba is a beach-lover’s paradise! The coastlines are covered with picture-perfect, powdery white sand, and clear, azure waters.

With fantastic year-round weather, it’s always the right time to scuba dive, windsurf, snorkel, golf, or hike, and at night, you can enjoy casinos and Vegas-style shows.

Aruba is one of the four constituent countries that form the Kingdom of the Netherlands and though hints of its Dutch influence abound, don’t expect Old World stuffiness – the goal here is relaxation and fun.

With an average rainfall just over 20 inches, any time of the year is perfect for a visit to Aruba.

The so-called “rainy season” runs from late October into the beginning of January, but most of this rain falls in the form of short showers, and mainly at night. December, on average the rainiest month of the year, typically records an average rainfall of 3.3 inches of rain versus May which receives only half an inch of rain.

So really, no matter when you visit, there’s no need to worry about being stuck in a hotel room all day. Average day time temperatures during the summer months average 90° F and during the winter, they average 86° F. Night time lows rarely fall below 80° F in the summer or 76° F during the winter. The only time you might need a sweater is when the air conditioning in the restaurants or casinos get too chilly.

If you haven’t made plans for your summer vacation yet, why not give Aruba a visit?
