Beaches In Jamaica

Doctors Cave Beach in Montego Bay offers a well groomed stretch of fine, nearly white sand beach bordered by calm turquoise waters. A $5 entry gets you access to changing rooms and restaurants on the grounds. The convenience of these amenities makes this beach very popular among locals and tourists. The beach was named after a physician who donated his property to form a swim club, which is still in operation over a hundred years later!

Seven Mile Beach in Negril is also a very popular spot because of its safe swimming conditions for swimmers of all ages. Be aware that some sections of the beach are sectioned off for nudists, but with 7 miles of beach, it’s highly unlikely that you won’t find an ideal spot to enjoy.

Boston Bay Beach which is in Port Antonio is famous for its gigantic waves; perfect for the surfer who wants to enjoy the waves. Lessons are also available for beginners.

Treasure Beach is situated in the middle of a community known for fishing and farming. It’s a great place to see how the locals live with quaint resorts and restaurants nearby to enjoy after a day on the unspoiled sands enjoying the view.
When you are heading out for the day, prepare snacks and drinks as there may not always be facilities available. And be aware that in high season, popular beaches may become very busy so plan accordingly.
